Uefa Club Awards History

The UEFA Club Football Awards are awards given by UEFA to the most outstanding performers of the European club football season. The awards were presented in August each year at a special gala in Monaco ahead of the European Super Cup. Since 2005, the awards are presented at the UEFA Champions League draw.

Uefa Champions league 1999-2000

The 1999-2000 season of the UEFA Champions League was won by Real Madrid, who had clinched an historic 8th title win, against fellow La Liga side, Valencia. This was the 45th Edition of the competition. The final was hosted in the historic Stade de France, in Paris where the original roots of the competition had began.
This season is also belongs to the spanish sides which apear in the compitition as we know that spanish sides are very tough to be beaten in there home soul.
The one spanish side(out of four) didn't qualify for group stages is R.c.D Mallorca.they were beaten by the Danish side Molde F.k by 1-1(Molde f.k won on away goal rule)so remain the three by the succesfullly qualification of Valencia C.F to the group stage by a 4-0 (agr) win over Haife f.c. .
Other two spanish oppositions Barca and Real are already qualified due to there 1st and 2nd finish in la liga and are now in the hunt for UCL.
This time its the easy way for Both Barca And Madrid they were drawn in rather easy groups as compared to Valencia C.F were Draw"n in a group that so called the most deficult to go with.the other sides are FC Bayern Munich,Rangers F.C and PSV Eindhoven.
F.C Barcelona And Real Madrid qualifies for the 2nd group stages Both top there respactive groups along with ValenciaC.F who also top the group and qualify for the 2nd group Stage by wining both mathces against rangers and home match against PSV,they draw the remaining matches.
There are Eight winners and eight runners up from the first group stage were drawn into 4 groups of 4 teams each, each containing two group winners and two runners-up. Teams from the same country or from the same first round group cannot be drawn together. The top 2 teams in each group advance to the quarter finals.
Teams who go through the 2nd group stage are Real Madrid,Manchester United,Fc Porto,Bayern Munich,Chelsea Fc,FcBarcelona,ValenciaC.f and S.S Lazio.
Draw of quarter finals seas Real to face United, porto having bayern, chelsea face Barca and Valencia to face Lazio a rather easy match for valencia as compare to others.the results of the quarter finals are as follow.

barca wins 6-4 in hard fought battle the match was decided in extra time with the goals from luis figo and patrick klivert

Two goals by Angulo a Penalty by G.Mandiata and an addional time Goal Cladio Lopez an own goal by pellengrino gives barca an away goal.

2nd leg FC Barcelona2-1 Valencia C.F
Valencia intially scores in 69min (goal from Mandiata) But Barca level the score with the goal from FarnK de Boer in 78 min.they scores in added time this time Philpe CoCu on score sheet.baca need two more goals to equalize the score but they can't do it in 90mins and lose the semi final.

A briliant strike by Young anelka gives real an Early Advantege.they score another with an own goal from jens jeremies.

2nd leg Bayern Munich2-1 Real Madrid
carsten jacker scores early for bayern but they do not held on for for then 20mins nicolas anelka scores the equalize for real madrid.Bayern take advantage of Real's slopy defending and score another to restore there 1 goal lead with Giovane Elber on the score sheet in 54min.bayern need 2 more goals in nearly 40 min approx but it's real's day they win the match on aggregate.now they will face valencia in the final for the crown.

Match started slowly bothtimes try hard but no one can catch the net of opposition but after 35th min real madrid started to push valencia back and move the bowl slowly they rewarded with the goal shortly with Fernando Morientes score the opener in 39th min.

1st half gone real madrid leading 1-0

Real madrid go to win the match with two more goals from Steve Mcmanus in 67min And Raul Gonzalez in 75 min a great win seals there 8th uefa champions league title.

Valencia plays vary well but can't provide the momentum which they had in early stages and end there conquest on the losing side.
